HCL Tech Q2 jumps 68.5% net profit
India’s fourth largest software service provider HCL Technologies stroke 68.5 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 964.7 for the first fiscal second quarter that ended December 31, 2012.
In a statement, the company reported its net profit for the year earlier period in the October-December quarter of 2011 stood at Rs 572.7 crore.
"Our growth this quarter was driven by Infrastructure and Financial Services, both growing in excess of 10 percent sequentially," new Chief Executive Anant Gupta said in a statement.
HCL Technologies won 12 multi- million dollar deal this quarter, with total contract value deal won aggregating to $1 billion.
Few sources say that it had lost 395 employees during this quarter, while the other sources say that it had added 2,118 employees in the three months to December.
